As if the sex industry wasn’t doing enough already, several students at research and design schools are getting all hot and bothered about putting electronics and assorted other bits into shirts. For example, this “Pod Massager” looks like a scarf that has a massage box built in, and not at all uncomfortable. Almost as exciting is a shirt from the University of Dublin that has little motors attached that massage various parts of you, which is okay, but the real winner is the “Feels Good” design by Philips – a cream-colored kimono with “a conductive embroidered spine at the back.” The electrostatic charge can be set via remote control, even. Now, if they could make underwear they might make some money, but I don’t know that a kimono is really speaking to the right audience for electrified clothing.
