As a replacement for their P-1000 photo viewer, you couldn’t ask for too much more. The hard drive has been upped from 10GB to 40GB, support for audio/video playback and USB 2.0 have been added, and the supercool 3.8-inch, 212 pixels-per-inch VGA LCD has been retained. Interestingly, the press release states that the P-2000 will be available in “early November” for $500, but Epson America’s site still has the P-1000 at $600. Weird.
