Elgato Systems has created EyeHome, the necessary compliment to their EyeTV Macintosh television recording system. EyeHome is a simple silver component that sits with the rest of your A/V system and connects to your EyeTV/Macintosh set-up (wired or wirelessly) so that you can watch your recordings on the TV instead of the computer. A simple interface is accessed via remote control to playback any media files on your Mac.
Using your Mac as a Tivo-like device is a great idea, but being able to integrate it with your home system is critical if you want to really enjoy the playback.
