Imagine being stranded in a harsh, gun-crazy, pyramid-obsessed alternate reality with your immediate family — think you’d be in the mood for a little desert two-step while on the run for your lives?
And yet that’s precisely what the opening credits for CBS’ short-lived 1985 series Otherworld would have you believe, that after being sucked through a portal in the Great Pyramid at Giza into an unrecognizable parallel Earth called Thel, and getting hounded by a vicious government thug at every turn, the Sterling family would look on the bright side and kick up their heels.
Of course, now I totally want to watch this show.
