Fox has unleashed fans on the face of Gort, Klaatu’s robot bodyguard from The Day The Earth Stood Still. The studio asked artists and enthusiasts to dream up what the giant robot guardian would have looked if they’d had a say in the remake. Apparently a lot of them wanted him to look like the Silver Surfer mixed with Ork blood. We’ve grabbed a few pics of the different ideas, and made a Gort gallery for your enjoyment.
There are plenty more Gort images to peruse over at the official TDTESS site. But I’m going to have to side (for the first time) with Fox so far on their creation of Gort and his ridiculous collar bones. Why does he need those again?
