Wired Magazine has a short write-up on some of the gadgetry used in the farming industry. If you’ve never been to a modern farm, the degree to which automation has taken over might surprise you. Units like the Trimble AgGPS Autopilot RTK allow half-million dollar tractors and combines to be piloted with a minimum of human direction.

The first in-cabin surround sound video system I had ever seen was installed inside an International combine, way back in the dark days of the early 90s.
