280,000 NASA-reviewed lines of code later, the Transportation Department has officially decreed Toyota's problems—you know, the ones that caused terrifying accidental acceleration—to be mechanical in nature. The thing is the problem Wozniak has pointed out only happens at 83 mph or higher. While I realize that Californians drive pretty damn fast. The maximum posted speed limit in the state is 70 MPH. So, people who are breaking the law by speeding while using cruise control to speed, are the ones with the runaway cars.
