Now here’s an idea that sounds great at first. Samsung’s come out with the first camcorder with a built-in hard drive. The ITCAM-7 has a 1.5GB internal hard drive that will hold about an hour of video, and has a USB 2.0 port for high-speed file-transfer when you want to dump your footage to a PC. Think about that. Everytime you fill up the hard drive you’ll have to run back to your PC in order to record more video, which sounds like a major inconvenience if you want to use the ITCAM-7 while on vacation. Plus, just 1.5GB? If the iPod can fit 20GB in there, the ITCAM-7 should be able to as well. You’re much better off with one of those new camcorders from Sony and Panasonic which use mini-DVD-RW discs for storage instead.
