Freddy is back — and looking terribly realistic. There’s the creepy claw that pops up when you least expect, it but gone is the peeled Robert Englund brow, replaced with Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen’s Rorschach) sporting an all-too-real burn-ward look.

This is the first time we’re seeing Jackie Early Haley as the scorched child-molester Freddy Krueger. This nightmarish character was always a bad, bad man but now he’s really something…and we’re not sure how it’s going to play. Not only will you have to get used to this new gravelly voice, but look at him…..
This kind of look kind of ruins the monster we love to hate idea. Does this mean the Freddy-isms will be gone as well? I guess we’ll have to wait until more is revealed, but color us nervous.
