The first official look at Ronald D. Moore’s TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander book series is here, and it’s of actor Sam Heughan as 18th-century Scotsman James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser. Given the fangasm that erupted when Starz posted this on the show’s Facebook page, I assume this is newsworthy to more than a few of you.
For those of you less enthused about a picture of an attractive man in a kilt, you should know that Outlander is all about time travel, sexy sex, Scotland circa 1745 and 1945, and… well, a hot dude in a kilt. There’s no getting around that. Outlander will premiere on Starz sometime next year.
