The very first trailer for Zombieland’s TV series takes place in the same post-apocalyptic world as the movie, and it even has the same collection of life-saving rules the characters follow. However, the original band of survivors has been recast and it feels… off.
While very funny, it’s strange to see new faces in place of characters we’ve already bonded with. It’s weird, and we don’t like it. But the wit of the movie is still intact. And as Zombieland was penned a TV series, we know there’s plenty of great, untapped material that will make us laugh. Let’s just hope the audience can get over the initial disconnect with these new faces.
