Flying Japanese ball is perfect for keeping tabs on the dystopian future

This floating ball was built by the Japanese Ministry of Self-Defense, weighs a scant 350 grams, can hit speeds of 40 MPH, and costs slightly less than $1000 in parts. Stare into the singular, soulless eye of your spherical overlords.

What’s holding these helicopter balls from being on every street corner? As of now, the ball can get only 8 minutes of air time. Despite bearing a strong resemblance to the Death Star torture droid, I think we’re more likely to see Rowdy Roddy Piper barking witticisms at it.
