Fujitsu is releasing a new Pocket PC in Japan, the Pocket LOOX v70 within the next couple of weeks, with a 3.7-inch VGA screen and a 1.3-megapixel camera. It looks like a nice unit — pretty typical for the current high-end generation Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition models — but with a current indicated price for around $730, you’ll probably want to wait until Fujitsu imports it here, purchase a different brand of Pocket PC, or do something about that weak dollar.
The Pocket LOOX v70 is one of the first PDAs to use the newly-announced “Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PC Japanese Version,” a self-explanatory iteration of the latest Pocket PC OS from Microsoft.
