Used to be, ‘gaming laptop’ meant playing solitaire on the plane. These days, with desktop graphics tech in a lull and multiple vendors (okay, two) producing serious mobile 3D hardware, gaming on-the-go can actually stand up to the tortures of the latest games.
TechTV grabbed four new models off the shelf and threw some games at them. None of them quite match the performance of a dedicated desktop gaming rig, but they are well past ‘good enough’.
At $3,300+ each, you’ll want to make sure you don’t leave any of these in the overhead bins.
