Gateway's ID series are the first computers designed by Pininfarina (of Ferrari fame). The signature aesthetic seems to be the swoop at the bottom of the monitor—not mind-blowing, but better than BMW's HP effort.

Spec-wise, it's a 15.6-inch notebook with a 16:9 aspect ratio LED-backlit screen, Dolby speakers and multi-touch gesture trackpad (like much else Acer's rolling out tonight).

Oh Pinin, you used to be sublime, but then you started going overboard with the crass contouring, effectively destroying the subtle curvy charm that Ferrari used to have, with the exception of the F430. That car is pure sex on a stick.

I hate that off-center trackpad.
