By now, you’ve probably seen Daniel Kaluuya in Jordan Peele’s horror movie Get Out. But a few years prior, the English actor (who’s now filming Black Panther) made Jonah, an award-winning short by Kibwe Tavares. He plays the younger version of a man whose life is transformed after he encounters an extraordinary fish.
It’s kind of Moby Dick meets The Life Aquatic, and it has an ending you might not see coming. Jonah has been out since 2013, but with Kaluuya’s star on the rise, this well-crafted short is certainly worth re-watching.
