The Mole People (1956)
Hollow Earth tale number one: archaeologists discover a race of mushroom-gobbling, Ishtar-worshiping, excessively pale mutants dwelling deep underground. Mystery Science Theater 3000 got its mitts on this one, as you can see from the above image, so you can imagine the quality of filmmaking here. However, the hole is confirmed to be so deep the intrepid explorers exclaim “I can’t see the bottom!”… immediately followed by “We gotta get down!”
