The latest trend in 17″ LCD monitors is to go widescreen – Sony, Samsung, and ViewSonic all have models either out or about to come out. John Morris points out one caveat when buying a widescreen display: if you don’t have the proper video card, you won’t be able to take advantage of all extra pixels.
