It’s taken ages, but someone has finally ripped off Apple’s Titanium PowerBook G4. Who knew it’d be BestBuy? Technically it’s the work of Porsche Design, who have been styling a line of computers for them. This latest model, the vpr Matrix 200A5 is hot, it has a 15.2-inch widescreen display (like the PowerBook), and has a magnesium, rather than titanium, case. The specs are hot too: 2.0GHz Pentium processor, 40GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, DVD/CD-RW drive, 32MB video card, two FireWire and two USB 2.0 ports, and built-in 802.11b. Has a couple of unexpected features as well, like the ability to listen to CDs even when the notebook is powered off, and some special super-high fidelity sound technology called Sonopur.
