God’s Machine

The latest TiVo addict is FCC Chairman Michael Powell (who is also the son of Secretary of State Colin Powell). At CES yesterday he very curiously called the new TiVo he got for Christmas “God’s Machine” and said that he wished he could use it to share shows with his sister, something that the television networks consider illegal. If only more people in Washington would actually use new technology like TiVo before they decided to create policy and pass legislation about it. Always figured God for a ReplayTV kinda guy, maybe Powell knows something we don’t.
