The Android Market doesn't have anywhere near the vetting process that the App Store does. That's great for openness, but sometimes some bad apple slip through. Like this recently banned text message forwarding app, Secret SMS Replicator.

It was only on the market for about 18 hours, and it's gone as of Wednesday. Good that Google bans malicious apps! But a little dicey knowing that it got through in the first place. [Switched via T3]
