Twist-to-Adjust
Comfort is at the forefront with the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2. These earbuds have been designed to be small and unobtrusive in your ear while you are wearing them for extended periods. An interesting design choice is that you the user can control how secure they fit in your ear. After placing them in, if you twist the earbud, it will adjust how loose of tight it feels inside, tuning it to your comfort level.
What this also means is you can cater the tightness to the kind of activity you are currently engaging in. At the gym taking a high-intensity class? You might want to tighten the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in place for a more secure fit. Just sitting at your desk in the office, catching up on you email inbox? Loosen them up for a more comfortable, relaxed fit.
The tightening and loosening of the earbuds also ends up controlling how strong the seal if in your ear, either letting in more external noises or blocking them out when you need to focus.
Beyond just the seal, the Google Pixel Buds 2 support active noise cancellation. That combined with the seal created when tightly adjusted work together to eliminate unwanted sounds from your surroundings from getting in the way.
Conversation Detection is a nifty feature that does what it sounds like it does. The earbuds can identify when you start speaking with someone, and can automatically switch to transparency mode. This lets those outside noises filter through the speakers clearly, letting your and the person you are speaking with hear each other clearly without you having to take the buds out of your ear.
