New Safety Features Let Users Lock Their Sensitive Apps Under More Security

Google’s plans for Android 15 include several new safety features that make it harder to steal your phone or what’s inside it. For one, if a phone bandit tries to factory reset a phone, they won’t be able to set it up without having the user’s Google account or phone credentials, which Google claimed makes it “unsellable.”
What’s more interesting, though, is a new “Private space” feature that essentially lets users create a special area of their phone that needs a separate PIN to unlock. Users can stick some of their more sensitive apps in this special folder.
You can no longer disable Find My Device or extend screen timeout without a PIN or biometric unlock. Users can also set the phone to restrict them from changing a PIN or password without offering a biometric reading first.
