We can’t wait until HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Game Of Thrones hits our screens. But here’s something to make the wait bearable: an exclusive first look at a new calendar featuring gorgeous art of the saga’s castles.

We’ve been reading Martin’s original books in anticipation of the HBO version, and the richness and breakneck pace of the saga is blowing us away. If you’ve read the books, you’ll know that the different castles of Westeros are like characters in themselves, from the frosty stoicism of Winterfell to the inaccessible Eyrie.

The Song Of Ice And Fire calendar is going on sale July 20, and it features art by Ted Naismith based on George R.R. Martin’s classic books.
