Even if you don’t know the name Rick Baker, you know his work. I guarantee it. From Star Wars to An American Werewolf in London, Men in Black to Ed Wood, Gremlins, Thriller, Hellboy, Baker’s work with make-up and effects is legendary. He’s got seven Oscars to prove it and now, a tribute art show.

Trailers from Hell and Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles, CA are hosting a group show called “The Monster Maker,” which starts Oct. 23 with special screening of Ed Wood and Harry and the Hendersons (two of the seven Oscars) followed by the gallery opening on October 24. Full details on both events are here but let’s get to a small sample of the art that’s in the show.
