These fans may not be new — I mean, it’s a fan — but I just noticed them for the first time today. The Hammacher Schlemmer Air-Cleaning Windows Fan is just a box fan, basically, except on the intake side (or “back”) is a pleated cotton/poly filter that also happens to be impregnated with baking soda to neutralize odors. Unfortunately it shares the curse of all air cleaners — the fan is only $50, but the three-month filters are $40 each.
Can you tell it’s hot in our neck of the woods today?
