HandEra abandons Palm

HandEra says it can’t afford the licensing fees anymore and is going to stop making PDAs that run on the Palm operating system. They were never a big player (it only had two models, the HandEra 330 and the TRGpro), but HandEra was just the second company to license the Palm OS. Is this yet another sign that the Palm OS is starting to slide? They have been losing marketshare to Microsoft’s Pocket PC, that’s for sure, and having fewer companies making Palm-powered PDAs cannot be a good thing.
