Last year, Amazon’s excellent Fire TV got access to HBO Go, the crown jewel of VOD services. Or it did, assuming your cable provider was anything but Comcast. If you had Comcast, you were inexplicably screwed. No longer!
It’s incredible that it took this long, but HBO Go is finally available on the Fire TV for Comcast subscribers. To be fair, it’s not clear which of Comcast, Time Warner (HBO’s parent), or Amazon was doing the screwing of customers in this situation. Or, if the screwing was the joint responsibility of all involved. Luckily, the screwing is over. Thank you?
