HBO making a miniseries of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods?

Cinematographer Robert Richardson (Inglourious Basterds) is pitching HBO an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Backed by Playtone Productions’ Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, Richardson hopes to co-write a pilot, based on the award-winning novel, with Gaiman himself.
