Hello Kitty iPod mini

Featuring a set of custom keyboards and a strappy case, the new Sanrio iPod mini & Hello Kitty Be@rBrick set is sure to be a big hit, despite the actual iPod mini having only the slightest of modifications (a little white Hello Kitty logo on the back). But like the Doraemon iPod mini before it, the new Hello Kitty iPod mini isn’t about doing something new—it’s about selling you something you already own, now rubber stamped with an approved brand. As someone pointed out to me yesterday regarding the Star Wars Lego Video Game, in the future, things that have only one brand slapped on them will be considered very lame.

If you want one of the 2,000 available, come politely to Japan with about $400 on April 10th. At least it’s a new 6GB model.
