You can go ahead and go over to the Dark Side now. Lucasfilm has okayed a Star Wars musical.

According to E! Online, the Star Wars musical will premiere next year in London's O2 arena, and will feature singing Wookiees and a Stormtrooper kick line. The show, featuring songs set to some of John Williams' famous music, will cover the entire saga from Episode I all the way up to Episode VI. And it'll incorporate film clips.

No matter what, it can't be as great as the Donnie and Marie Star Wars episode, featuring Kris Kristofferson and Redd Foxx:

I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be borrowing liberally from various Rodgers and Hammerstein Productions

He flies the skyhopper and fast

His hair is rather long

He whines about his friends

And looks up at the stars

And underneath that blond hair

He has dreams about space

I even heard him whining to the Jawas

He's always late for harvest

But his piloting is real

He's always late for everything

Except for every meal

I hate to have to say it

But I very firmly feel

Skywalker's not an asset to a Sand Farmer

I'd like to say a word in his behalf

Skywalker makes me laugh

How do you solve a problem like Skywalker?

How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?

How do you find a word that means Skywalker?

A flibbertijibbet! A whiney dumbass! Jedi?
