As we all know, German mobile communications giant Deutsche Telekom had betrothed it's American daughter T-Mobile to AT&T. Then things went south. According to Phone Scoop, Deutsche Telekom is getting the entire $3 billion cash payout to themselves, which means that T-Mobile won't see any of that on their end. But they are getting AWS spectrum (in real-person speak, that's more radio real estate to broadcast a signal). 128 markets worth of it. And 12 of those markets lie within the top 20. Plus there's the roaming agreement they've entered into with AT&T, so it's not all doom and gloom for the little cellular provider that could. [Deutsche Telekom via PhoneScoop via The Verge]
