FCS Company’s Hexatech Racing Simulator is just what you need (racing-enthusiast-cum -millionaire that you are) for that spare Great Room in your summer home. The 170 square-foot system consists of a race car cockpit with a force feedback steering wheel, and, before I forget, a driver seat and visual system mounted on a six-degrees of freedom Electric Motion platform. The Hexa moves across all axes near-effortlessly, in all directions and all rotations. This means that the system can impart on you over two G’s of acceleration forces at its whim while you sit immersed in its 3 x 23″ TFT display system and THX Dolby surround sound system. Launched at Six Flags Holland, it’s safe to assume these aren’t exactly meant for consumer purchase. However, their three-minute video totally sells the experience and I absolutely want one, even if it doesn’t come with that swanky progressive neo-lounge soundtrack playing in the background.
