The HomePod MP-100 Wireless Music Player is a WiFi-equipped device that can stream music from home PCs, including music from Apple iTunes (although not iTunes Music Store DRM’d .m4p files). While digital music streamers are nothing new (see: Gizmodo-sponsor Roku’s SoundBridge), HomePod’s cross-platform support is a nice feature, with even Linux, xBSD, and Solaris options available (at least according to eHomeUpgrade. The HomePod site mentions only Linux, although perhaps the GLOO Media Server software is available for cross-compiling).
