When it comes to soundtracks, Ennio Morricone is virtually unmatched. Composing tunes for movies like The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, he's earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants. And apparently, that includes composing LG ringtones.
Morricone has been tapped to create 15 original ringtones, which will end up on LG's Optimus 2X phone, along with 10 more of his more notable compositions over the years (this includes tracks from Cinema Paradiso and The Mission and Love Affair). Seeing as this probably cost LG a considerable amount of money, will a set of exclusive ringtone actually convince people to buy a phone? I suspect no. [LG via Bleeding Cool via Slashfilm]
