HP has released a series of videos on YouTube showing off the TouchPad and it looks as good as we've ever seen it. WebOS on a tablet has a chance to be fantastic. Remember, the TouchPad launches July 1st for $500. [YouTube]
Looks like a fantastic UI, and nice hardware, but why oh why can't people other than Apple get smooth scrolling to work? You have a dual-core processor and apps still don't scroll smoothly?
Furthermore the presentation was poorly done, with the wrong person doing the voiceover and the hand-model being way too "deliberate" with their touches. It didn't feel natural.
Either way, it's great to see some more competition in the tablet field, and I really hope app developers get into WebOS to make the competition actual instead of just theoretical.
