EVO 4G owners are seeing update 1.47.651.1 appear on their phones, which we heard about last week. It's not a biggie by the sounds of it, instead rumored to contain 802.11n Wi-Fi support and fix a couple of bugs.

DISCUSSION

So a couple questions for Evo owners as I'm considering switching to Sprint and getting this phone:

1) I can root/install a free Wi-Fi hotspot app on my Droid. Is this just as easy to do on the Evo?

2) Is the battery life as bad as its made out to be?

3) I'm seeing $129.99/mo for a shared 1500 minute/unlimited data/unlimited text plan. It's so cheap, is there a catch? Sounds too good to be true but if it works, it works.
