HTC continues to produce amazing smartphones—yet they’re still treated like a second-class producer here in the States. Check out this just-announced MDA IV: on the outside it looks like the i-Mate JAM, but inside it has a QWERTY keyboard and a twist-around screen. Add in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a really fast 520MHz processor and it basically becomes the GSM phone of my dreams (the only thing it could do better would be to operate on a real 3G network). T-Mobile Germany will definitely get the unit and you should expect it to be a popular import here if no carrier gives it a proper launch—but they should, because I want one.
