The hype surrounding the HTC Vox continues to build, today bringing us an in-depth cavity search of a prototype. Not only do we get clear photos (we’ve been inching toward this day for some time now), but we also get more technical details. That and more pics inside.

Based on the prototype, the smartphone will run Windows Mobile 6.0 (nicknamed Crossbow) and will come with Wi-Fi (like its Dash cousin), 2-megapixel camera and 64MB of RAM. Potential deal breaker: no 3G UMTS support. You were so close, HTC. We’ve still not a clue when HTC plans to launch it, but the prototype definitely makes all the right impressions, less the 3G.
