There’s a new Portable Media Player from PuMP/Digital-Square/Digital Cube (seriously, I have no idea) called the i-Station PMP-1000, a hard disk-based unit that can play back a variety of video and audio formats, including Xvid, OGG Vorbis, and AAC. Not only that, but the 3.5-inch video screen is also touch-sensitive, so that’s nice. I wouldn’t expect this on our shores through any major vendors, but it looks like a decent player for $500 (depending on capacity).
Is anyone else starting to get bored with these things? The PMP Revolution is barely 6 months old and I’m already running out of reasons to get excited about them.
