While it isn’t the powerhouse the T41P is, the IBM Thinkpad R50 is a solid notebook with a great screen, ample processor, and well-rounded connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth. If you need a bullet-proof $1,600 laptop (and don’t have any need to play the latest games), the R50 might be the black slab of computing for you.
