PC Magazine reviews the IBM ThinkPad T43 and is overall quite pleased, offering it the coveted “4.5 dots” rating. Based on a 1.86 GHz Pentium M and sporting a 60GB hard drive (contrary to PC Magazine’s spec sheet), the T43 also includes an integrated fingerprint reader. The reader is tied into a chip on the motherboard itself, affording an additional layer of security. The only issues PC Mag had with the machine was its limit of 2 USB ports and a lack of memory card slots. It’s available now and a perfect companion to the road warrior who needs to keep a well-built and portable laptop in tow.
