Throwing a bunch of crap into a pile and sticking a light bulb in it does not a lamp make. The trick is to make something that doesn’t catch on fire, which is presumably something the Illustri lamp does not do. That little bit of skill is what allows designer Hans Heisz to charge 655€ a pop.
