As far as home theater PCs go, you would be hard-pressed to find a design more appealing than the TT concept HTPC from Omaura. The work seems to derive its inspiration from traditional speaker bars, but one look under the hood and you can see that this thing is pure PC. Unfortunately, imagining what it would be like is as close as you are going to get until Omaura decides to make this thing a real-world product. A picture of the interior is available after the break.
This looks kinda poorly assembled if you ask me. The concept is good, but details like soundcard being attached by a flexible riser and the cabling not having any cable channels to protect the motherboard or it's components and then exiting through a large gaping square hole look more like an amateur build than something which could command the premium price I'm sure this will sell for.
Plus, let me say that th WAF (wife acceptance factor) on anything which resemble a prop from "2001 a Space Odyssey" is very low indeed. The best HTPC is one that looks not too dissimilar from a standard AV receiver or cable box. This monolith looks like it belongs next to the glowing HAL eye/light of Sony T-60 directivo box circa 8 years ago.
