CNet (and others) are reporting some scattered problems for iPod users updating to the new firmware to take advantage of the new iTunes 4.5 features. Apple has said they’re looking into it and should have an answer reasonably soon. I haven’t updated my iPod yet (although I did move up to iTunes 4.5), but if I run into any of the reported ‘missing iPod’ problems with the software, I’ll be certain to comment, as that gives me another opportunity to mention I have an iPod, which is the Number One reason to pay the premium price for one in the first place.
