iPodweek – The Best of iLounge

By

Reading time 1 minute

This week at iLounge: Even if rumors had suggested the collaboration between anti-AIDS organization (RED) and Apple was in the office, the timing of Apple’s release of the red-colored (PRODUCT) RED iPod nano came as a surprise: just in time for the holidays. Expect red cases and similar charitable pledges from other iPod-related companies to follow. Apple Vice President of Hardware Product Marketing Greg Joswiak told us to watch for a $25 iTunes (PRODUCT) RED gift card next month too.

Also: We’ve added massive numbers of new First Looks to the site this week, including the least expensive wearable video display yet released – Icuiti’s iWear for iPod ($299), which requires no battery pack and has dual-screened 3-D capabilities as well – plus Monster’s new auto-tuning FM transmitter iCarPlay Wireless 200, which finds the clearest local station for you. We’ve also featured new iPod nano (second-generation) armbands and cases from a number of vendors, including Noreve, Marware, Speck, and GizMac.

Finally, we’ve announced an iPod Colors photo contest: submit your colorful shot to win an 80GB iPod or cool new nano!
