Roku has released support notes that strongly suggest the streaming player is about to get a mirroring function. Update: Yep. Roku just announced that it now supports mirroring in beta for Android and Windows Phone devices.

This would let you mirror what's on your tablet, smartphone, or laptop screen to a Roku-attached TV. Awesome.

The feature will be available on Roku 3 and the Roku Stick, and that Android, Windows, and Roku should use the same network to have the best performance. You may have noticed that iOS wasn't on that list of compatible systems, at least for now.

Beta mirroring is already rolling out to customers, and Roku says everyone should have it within the next few weeks. [ZatzNotFunny]

Might be an excuse to update all my Roku 2's to Roku 3's.

Question if anyone knows. Can I make labels for my Roku's. Right now the Plex app only see's them as Roku's and its a little annoying having to find which is which, luckily one is usually above the other in the list, but labeling them would be useful.
