iTrip: Banned in the UK

The iTrip, that transmitter from Griffin that’ll let you listen to your iPod on any FM radio, has been banned in the UK. Just like A Clockwork Orange! Well, actually not like that at all. The reason the iTrip is now contraband is that because it functions as a low-power FM transmitter, it could potentially interfere with broadcasts from a regular radion station, something that is prohibited under the Wireless Telegaphy Act of 1949. So just make sure you’re not caught bringing one into the country.
