Bond is back next year in Spectre. And it's gonna be the best Bond yet. Duh. Spectre almost definitely will bring Bond back to the ultra cheesy roots it started from with the terror organization responsible for all of the Sean Connery films plots. In From Russia With Love, the second Bond film ever made, the organization that will make its reappearance in the new film attempts to trick Bond and KGB agent Tatiana into working for them.
The opening titles, designed by Robert Brownjohn, are famous in the design world for utilizing type in a never-before seen way by projecting type onto belly dancers. Brownjohn did several film titles including the following Bond film, Goldfinger.
From Russia With Love is the direction they're probably going to head in the newest film coming out next year. What few people know about the early films is that Spectre, the terror organization run by Ernst Stavro Blofeld, is responsible for killing Bond's wife in the most forgotten Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Blofeld, along with the rest of Spectre, and the plots in the early Bond films were the inspiration to every joke in the Austin Powers movies. Get cultural. And if you're not in the mood for that, there's plenty other stuff on Netflix. [Netflix]
