DVForge’s new JamPlug, an in-line (well, I guess most audio equipment is inline, but bear with me) amplifier that is billing itself as the “World’s Smallest Guitar Amp,” and for once a world’s-smallest claim is probably on the money. The $60 piece runs on a single AAA battery and has a pair of strangely-familiar matching white headphones. The thumb wheel controls volume, and it even can be overdriven into some quality of distortion, which probably isn’t the best sounding fuzz or crunch or whatever in the world, but if it can free the legion of pimply guitar noodlers from the curse that is the Rockman Metal Ace, then the amateur rock world will surely be a better place.
